Partnering with Pavarini Northeast Construction Co., Altieri presented at the SoundWaters Science Star program in Stamford, CT. As part of SoundWaters’ STEM focus, our own woman engineer, Angelica, introduced building engineering (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection) to girls in the 2nd through 5th grades during their spring break/camp.

All the girls received gifts of pink construction vests from Pavarini with wom(EN)gineer branded pins from Altieri. They loved sporting the vests and learning about different jobs in the A/E/C industry. Altieri is an advocate of teaching all young minds about MEPF engineering, especially when it comes to young women. We show them they can pursue any career even if it may be in a male-dominated industry.
