Altieri was a proud Luminary Sponsor of the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Association of Museum’s Building Museums™ Symposium. This was our fourth year sponsoring and fifth attending. This Symposium brings together people in all fields involved in the planning or implementation of museum construction, renovation, and expansion. We also sponsored the First-Time Attendees reception, giving first-time attendees an opportunity to mingle with each other and Building Museums™ representatives.
One of the three Plenary sessions, Staying Open: The Logistics, Planning and Costs Needed To Keep Your Doors Open, was given by the Philadelphia Museum of Art Core Project Team: Jane Lawson-Bell of Philadelphia Museum of Art, Carl Freedman of Aegis Property Group, Bill Childers of Gehry Partners, LLP, Bill Shaeffer of LF Driscoll, and Altieri’s Principal and Managing Director, Phil Steiner. Prior to the Plenary, a tour of the Philadelphia Museum of Art was offered, allowing attendees to see the complexity of the Museum. This provided a better understanding of the project when listening to the Plenary Session and learning more about the project.
